Creating Midterm 6

Switched to GIMP because GIMPshop is terrible

Layers being shown in GIMP, Text has been added

Layers have been added, this is the image with the New (white) Layer not visible

with the New (white) Layer visible

The image with the opacity of the New (white) Layer @ 60.5%

Tux added to the image, layers shuffled around so he's behind the text and semi-opaque layer

Image created, with a text circle layer with my name

Text circle copied into a new (white) layer

Adding the new layer and rotating it

Added another 3 layers to it, saving as animation and exporting

Animated GIF options, "Loop Forever" checked, "Delay" set to 500 milliseconds

This is the process used to created a layered image with transparency, and an animated GIF in GIMP.

It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc
